♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥: Dare... series by Marc Dannam, Axterdam, and Coralie Trinh Thi

I'm going to try something new. I have six books total from the Dare... series. I reviewed Dare...to Have Sex Everywhere but in Bed! by Marc Dannam a while ago. Since they're all pocket books from the same series, rather than write five more individual reviews, I'm going to group them together. Rather than giving you the official blurbs too (as the content can be figured out by the title), I'll just give you my thoughts and an overall rating of the series, rather than each specific book too. Today's review will contain four titles. The remaining one, Dare... to try Bisexuality, I haven't gotten to finish yet, so will be reviewed later! The publisher for all the following books is Hunter House, and the source is the wonderful Sean, the publisher's media coordinator.

Ménage is taboo when it comes to sex; you only expect to find it in porn or orgies. I've personally never participated in one before (not that I am desperately inclined to...), but Dannam's cute guide makes it look like fun and games. Of course, one needs to be considerate of their health in terms of sexually transmitted infections from the multiple partners, but all in all, the more, the merrier, right? This guide didn't convince me to participate in group sex, but it was a fun read with entertaining descriptions and stimulating illustrations.

Kama Sutra on the other hand, is something I absolutely love. I own a shattering number of Kama Sutra books because I enjoy being able to discover positions that gave pleasure in ancient times, and still be able to apply them to my sex life today. There's a reason Kama Sutra is so popular, Dannam and Axterdam explain in this edition. It is the universal practice of maximal sexual delight. This one also had some pretty interesting drawings that were fun to look at and model my own experiences with.

Dare... to Have Anal Sex by Coralie Trinh Thi

I admit it. I'm one of those people who still has not determined the joys of anal sex. To be completely honest with you, the thought of it makes me queasy. Even in adult films, I tend to skip over the anal scenes because they're a little too much for me. (Hey, I'm a rebel, not a hoochie!). Thankfully, Thi's anal guide sort of did help ease my fears. It describes how safety is always first, which I suppose is what concerns me most. Before showing any pictures or describing anal sex positions, it is assured that one must make sure he or she is practicing safe anal sex with tons of lube, the proper condom (that won't irritate), and so on. I'm not saying I'm completely in love with anal sex now, but it's something I'd be open to, thanks to this book. I know my boyfriend's been wanting to do it for a while, so I might start off with him and prostrate stimulation, then see how I'd like it as well.

As I'm beginning to read BDSM erotica more and more, bondage seems to be more of a plausible sex option for me. The pain and torture thing is obviously a turnoff, but Axterdam's book elaborates upon the intricacy of the ropes, as well as, of course, safety precautions, and the extensiveness of this not only sexual, but also sensual art fascinates me. Sadly, I'm a bit of a rookie. I haven't even done light bondage such as just using a blindfold (my sex life is a bore, right?). However, with this guide, I'm sure that's bound to change soon. Ha, get it? Bound to change soon? *cue: rim shot* ba-dumCHING
Radical Rating for all four books:  9 hearts: Loved them! These books have spots on my favorites shelf. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
